Notice to Clients: 2024 Trump Election

We know that Trump being elected President creates concerns with immigration rules being modified or changed.

With our 20+ years of experience, we will do the best to assist you and your family, friends and employees or answer any questions you may have for us.

For now, we suggest the following actions:

  • If you have DACA, apply for renewal now.
  • If you have a work permit, you should file for renewal 5-6 months before it expires.
  • If you are eligible to apply for US Citizenship, apply now, the process is currently taking approximately 3-4 months.
  • Inquire about a pending case no more than every 6 months. If you do not hear from us, it means your case is still pending. We are unable to give updates to all clients who have pending cases on a regular basis, so please feel free to email us when you need an update. We, in fact, do call all clients who get notices about their cases at our office the same day. Please remember that USCIS has thousands of cases, and many cases are currently pending for 1-3 years. During Trump’s previous administration, they were not able to change any laws but the government was successful in slowing down the process of making final decisions on cases, and individuals had to wait longer, years longer.
  • Remember that you must inform our office every time you change your phone number or address, the law requires that you notify the government within 5 days of moving up until you become a US Citizen.

We have set up a new email for your questions. If you have questions for us and you are not sure which attorney is working on your case, please send an email to JuliaMToroLawFirm. We will be monitoring this address and answering any questions or concerns you have about your case Mondays-Fridays, 9am-5pm.
