Asylum

If you have suffered persecution in the past, or fear that you may suffer persecution in your country in the future upon return, for reasons of your race, religion, nationality, political opinion and/or membership in a particular social group, we may help you seek the adequate protection for you and your family through an asylum, withholding and/or protection under the Convention Against Torture application.  We will assess the case and prepare all forms and a legal brief, including all necessary evidence and documentation that is available, as well as a complete background country condition packet.

Should you be granted asylum, you may remain in the United States with work authorization.  After a year of having been granted Asylum, you and your family are eligible to seek status as legal permanent residents.  You and your family may then be eligible to seek status as US Citizens.
