Julia Manglano Toro studied law at DePaul University College of Law, in Chicago, IL, and has a master in international human rights law from AmericanUniversity, WCL, in Washington, DC. She received her law license in Washington, DC. She has over 20 years in the practice of immigration law. She has substantial experience in representing immigrants from all parts before the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services [USCIS] and the Immigration Courts, Executive Office For Immigration Review [EOIR], under the Department of Justice, as well as ICE Immigration Detention. Fluent in Spanish. Attorney Toro was named one of Washington, D.C.’s top immigration lawyers by Washingtonian Magazine. She enjoys reading, writing poetry and live music.
Jeremy Reiner received his Juris Doctor degree from George Washington Law School in 2024. He was a student attorney in the GW Law Immigration Clinic for two semesters and aims to build on that experience. Is licensed in the District of Columbia. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, classical piano, and Super Smash Bros.
Karen Sams received her Juris Doctor degree from American University, WCL, where she worked in the Immigrant Justice Clinic for two years. Following law school, Attorney Sams clerked for the federal court in the US Virgin Islands and then served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Baltimore City and Harford County. She is a member of the Bar of the State of Maryland. As an immigration lawyer, she focuses on asylum and deportation defense. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ms. Sams was a professional pianist. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, playing chamber music, and hiking with her dogs.
